Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) can relieve chronic pain conditions, including neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and sciatica. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, Palmitoylethanolamide is beneficial in conditions involving inflammation, such as osteoarthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. PEA also has neuroprotective effects. It has uses in  neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
It is also a surfactant (foam accelerator) and viscosity increasing agent (water-based).
