CAB-381-20 is a high molecular weight cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) polymer. It is a film former and additive in solvent-based coatings. CAB-381-20 supports a greater degree of film flexibility, wider solubility range, better compatibility with other resins and pigments in formulations. It has better solubility in alcohols, making them useful in curing finishes like baking enamels and acid-catalyzed coatings. CAB-381-20 also facilitate higher crosslinking density in thermoset systems.
CAB-381-2 is a medium molecular weight mixed cellulose ester with moderate butyrate content. It is a film former, resin modifier, and additive in solvent-based inks and coatings.
