Use

Potassium tert-butoxide mainly use is organic synthesis. It can act as a base reagent in the elimination reactions of halogenated hydrocarbons and the deprotonation of alcohols and phenols. Potassium tert-butoxide can also serve as a catalyst for condensation reactions, which builds key structures in drug synthesis and acts as an initiator for polymerization reactions, and helps construct organic molecular structures.
