Cosmetics

3-(Dimethylamino)propylamine (DMAPA) is a neutralizing agent, PH regulator in hair care products. DMAPA is also a material of palmamide dimethyl propyl amine, cocamidopropyl betaine and mink amide propyl amine.

Surfactant
DMAPA is a surfactant in detergents, emulsifiers, fabric softeners and antistatic agents.
Corrosion inhibitor
DMAPA is a corrosion inhibitor in metalworking fluids, cooling towers and oilfield applications. It forms a protective film on protect metals surface which prevents corrosion and degradation.
Pharmaceutical  
DMAPA is utilized in the synthesis of certain pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). It is a building block or reagent in the production of various drugs, including antihistamines, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants.
Epoxy curing agent
