Use

2-Hydroxypropyl methacrylate is a reactive diluent in the production of acrylic resins and polymers. HPMA is employed in the production of hydrogels for soft contact lenses due to its hydrophilic properties, which increase comfort by retaining water.

HPMA is also a material in the formulation of coatings, adhesives, and sealants due to its ability to improve adhesion, flexibility, and water resistance.
