Triacetin is a common food additive and humectant in cosmetics. Triacetin is an emollient, moisturizer and solvent in cosmetics such as lotions, creams, lipsticks and perfumes.
Food Additive
Triacetin is a food additive and flavor enhancer. It is a humectant and solvent in food such as baked goods, candies, ice creams, and processed meats. It retains moisture and improves texture.
Tobacco
Glycerol Triacetate enhances flavor and maintain moisture of tobacco products. It improves the taste and prevents the tobacco drying out.
